I started my own company that I operate on the side. The primary purpose for this company is to assist companies and individuals with computer problems. I have many years of experience in working on computers dating back to the early 1990's. Below are some of the services I provide:Hardware troubleshooting:
- Hardware troubleshooting ($40 per hour): Although computers are mostly electronic they do have mechanical parts in them that can wear out or fail. Electronic parts can fail as well if they are run at abnormally high temperatures for prolonged periods of time. I can diagnose and replace these parts.
- Hardware installation ($35 per hour): If you have a new piece of hardware purchased for your computer and are unsure about installing it yourself, I can care care of that.
- Software troubleshooting ($40 per hour): If your computer is running slow and you don't know why, I can diagnose and correct the cause of these problems. This also includes computers that have been infested with computer viruses.
- Software installation ($35 per hour): If you've purchased a piece of software and are unsure of installing it I can handle that for you.
- Simple desktop publishing ($25 per hour): I can design simple newsletters and flyers for you or your business. I also have a very good quality solid ink printer for proofs as well as being able to generate files in any format needed for mass duplication.
- Network installation ($35 per hour): If you've got more than one computer and need to connect them together or want them to share an Internet connection I can assist with connecting your computers either with wires or wirelessly.
- Network troubleshooting ($40 per hour): If you have a current wired or wireless network that isn't working I can diagnose and fix these network problems.
- Custom built computer systems: I can build a computer for you to your exact specifications.
- Linux and open-source software: Are you concerned about the rising cost of software licenses or the increasing intrusiveness of traditional software? Free and open-source software is a viable alternative to proprietary software. Linux is a free alternative to Windows that has none of the security problems that Windows is so famous for.
There is no minimum charge for any of my services. If I need to travel outside of the Power Ranch area there will be a $10 per hour charge for travel time; this also applies if I need to travel to purchase anything for a job on a client's behalf.
